Ximhungwe lioness and her cub at northern Sabi Sands:

She has a long way to go, but she is in the area in Simbambili where lion activity is very low, Nkuhumas rarely venture there.. So if she manages to raise the cub to the point when leopards and hyenas cant kill it when he is alone (most cubs die in this period, under 1 yrs old) , chances for raising the cub to adulthood will be pretty good..

Also, judging by the body structure and size of this cubs pawns, i think its a male.. Reply

A female cub would have been better for her survival but hopefully the little cub would make it. Wonder who sired the cub. Reply

They both look great @Tr1x24 Yes, she is reaching a critical juncture, but she has done a great job so far. She's the last of her pride, just like the Tsalala lioness, really pulling for both of them. Reply
