I agree.  I saw his age confirmation in a video somewhere and he was born in 2005 it indicated, the same year as Solo.  There were only a few months in between for both lions.  Wonder if he'll survive to the age of 16.  It's unpredictable since lions can deteriorate and die rather quickly in their teen years.  Let's hope he can survive long enough to see his last set of cubs to at least 2 years of age.

I think i've found 1 of the 2 "unknown" young male lions in MalaMala.

Photo of Hoyo Hoyo Safari Lodge (Mluwati Concession) , end of March 2020:

Little cut on the right ear doesnt match, but first photo is 3 months before, so he could get it easly by now,but whisker spots and other scars match, its the same lion.

Unfortunately we dont know if this lion comes from some pride in Mluwati Concession (Hamiltons, Imbali?) or was he just passing by thru that area..

If he/they came from Mluwati Concession, he was most likely ousted by new males in that area, and judging by his age that would meant that he is son of Mluwati males..

" Four very full lions decided to spend a good part of the day right next to a watering hole sleeping and occasionally getting up for a drink. We are not sure what kill they managed to make but it sure fed all 4 of them well. "

1 of their sister was accepted back into the pride, vonder if this female will be able to do the same..

Before the S. Avocas takeover the Sand River pride there where 8 subadults there sired by Mantimahles (some say 3 males and 5 females, some 5 males and 3 females, so idk for sure), but now only 4 are seen around (2 males and 2 females) fate of the other 4 is unknown, they might be dead or somewhere in Kruger..

In MalaMala where 2 males, 3 where in Singita..

I dont think those are the same males, male on the left photo looks older based on mane than the male on the right photo who is in MalaMala.

But those 3 might be the males in Singita, we dont know because we seen only 1 male of those 3 and from distance..
