You kill some lionesses and suddenly you become the big bad ruthless coalition and you happen to take some prides and then you are part of some devine bloodline of wise fearless kings. And once set its hard to change them.
Take for instance the PCboys.
They are currently build up as some big strong ruthless coalition. But in reality they are just some youngsters that took advantage of the death of Nguvu, the decline of Darkmane and the Tumbellas and the Avoca Birmingham conflict. Resulting in a power vaccuum in Signita with 3 potential prides to mate with.
They at first were nearly chased out by the at the time much more assertive Nym/Sym duo. But their luck would strike again when Sym died.
Then the Birminghams formed. So everyone assumed this on Nhenhas reputation alone was going to be a force to be reckoned with. This mighty coalition turned out to be more of a pushover and now the Pcmales have the reputation of taking down the mighty Nhenha. Despite it being their first serious fight we know off.
So their rise to power is mostly down to luck and a lack of serious competition. And not due to the PCmales itself.
It is going to give them a huge confidence boost and jumping board in life though. So they will likely, having survived the nomadic part of their life be a force for some time. Providing there arent any accidents.
But it could just as easily have been Nym and Sym in their place.
I can relate to what you're saying but they have also matured into some impressive male lions with a combination of size, great genetics, and growing confidence and aggression.
How they were at a much younger age with Nk male and Styx is a lot different now. They back each other up and regularly patrol and don't shy away from any intruders at all while gaining more experience each time.
I think they're a good example of male lions growing up and trying to be the best they can be but I still think they deserve some credit with the success they have had thus far although some of the incident's that we're aware off appears to reduce their credibility to some.
