He seems to have a wound in his groin on the left hind leg, right? It could have been crowned by a buffalo recently in an attempt to hunt, it would be the most logical thing!

The two lioness of southern pride were seen yesterday in thin conditions and in need of a good meal, apparently they were lucky and could get one that will help them for a few days. Posted by the Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve Facebook page, 12 Dec 2019.

- MALAMALA Game Reserve. Update, Dec 9-13.

- Two different prides of lions as well as two male coalitions were viewed regularly over this report period.
- Two large kills kept the Torchwood pride around the Split Rock Donga four days (and counting). An adult giraffe and an adult wildebeest both fell victim to the pride.
- The bulk of the Kambula pride spent most of their time in Flockfield while the lioness with the youngest litter were viewed near Rattray’s Camp. All 21 pride members were finally viewed together again on Saturday at Confluence Crossing, where they killed a waterbuck and were joined by both Gowrie males.
The 2 Avoca males were seen in Charleston.
