It appears that these 2 boys are really getting along well. Hopefully, their bond grows stronger.
Khanya had always accepted NYM. It was DM Talamati the one a little more aggressive towards NYM.

I remember him days ago with an injury back when the video of Eorenji roaring in the north came out, but idk if it's the same as from this photo, I remember only one bigger injury instead of multiple smaller ones.

These Mantimahle from time to time show to with facial scars, maybe they fight more seriously for mating rights than other males.

Not sure didn't even notice til I've read this

Brief reunion with sister, nice to hear.

These close-ups don't paint a nice picture for poor Tumbella.   Weeping  Does he make it long enough to be around for his daughters to have their offspring, and become Grandad Tumbella?

I don't like those dark patches on his shoulder there.  That really looks TB'ish...

It was actually the other way round, Dzwihala obviously put the other two in their places being he was the most dominant of the three, but he was always closer to NK. When all three met up for the first time, it was Dzwihala noticeably closer to NK than Khanya. He slept in the middle of them and was often seen walking alongside NK, with Khanya quite a bit ahead. Even before that Dzwihala and NK were spending time with Talamati Pride together and were very comfortable in each others presence.

Over the months, I had seen a lot of ppl say that coalition didn't work because of the Talamatis, that was never the case. NK never left them two because of him being outmuscled, he left as he prioritised staying with Talamatis (now Msutlus).

Very reminiscent of S.Avoca a few months ago when he was spotted with Kambulas on that buffalo kill, I'd hope he makes a similar comeback. S.Avocas best choice of his life come with him leaving Southern Sabi Sands, and we seen how it paid off, now with a new respectable partner and giving it another go at life, Tumbela is his own biggest downfall.

Seems like the Thanda Impi Sons (Tumbela Males + Lambile) is having the same paths, Lambile having said to have a TB, 1 limping Tumbela, can't remember on what illness the other Tumbela had is it also a limp or TB, and this last Tumbela have not gotten the good side of the coin for quite some time. Still remembering when the attack at the airstrip happened, he was somewhat okay even after that incident and seems like his decision or Nkuhuma Male 2016 decision to separate when the said Gijima attack happen is when I think the start of his hardships at the moment.

Still hoping for him to pull through and be in a good condition again and maybe form a coalition and dominate a pride.

The difference is that S. Avoca is a healthy male that just went through a rough transition period where he had to adapt from a territorial coalition member with a pride to provide for him to a solitary hunter on his own. Once he figured out how to survive he bounced back again.

Tumbella is suffering from health and mental problems he wont recover from. Its taking everything he got to survive. Then again he has been barely surviving like this for years now. So he obviously found some tricks of his own to get by.

Sabi Sands has a history of Timbavati males taking over and being successful.

While the Monwana were chased a few times by IIRC Red Road/Nharu pride and that other big male ( Skybed son? ), they have plenty of impressive feats and I think they are barely, if at all 4yo.

Imagine them in SS still as 4 strong, some half a year from now, I doubt they'll be like the Kambulas, no duo will be able to handle them.

I actually think it might be a good thing if they stay as a coalition of 4. Them being 6 would mean they’d control much more with some members most likely splitting either permanently or just preferring a different pride. A young coalition of 4 would be able to successfully sire a first set of cubs and very easily takeover the next pride doing the same once their offspring becomes subadults.

Kinda like what the BDMs have done with Avoca Pride and Monwana Pride, but I’d hope they’re much more successful than that as Avoca Pride lost quite a few cubs due to lack of food.

Problem is which pride do they take as every pride either solely in Sabi Sands or on the borders has pride males or have been mating with dominant males and will show signs of pregnancy soon like Imbalis.

These boys remind me a lot of the Topi boys in Masai Mara, I get the feeling once they get the slightest chance for their own pride they’ll take it.

So far neither the Kambulas as the Nkhulus lived up to the conquer expectations people had of him.
Personally I believe Large coalitions are actually far less efficient in carving out large territories than smaller ones. To busy with either infighting or finding enough food to feed everyone.
So I don't expect much different from the Monwana.

The 6 of them in manyleti would’ve been great for the prides

Can we stop hyping and putting expectations on Monwanas like they will be 2nd coming of Mapogos?

And then when they dont reach those expectations and hype, then same guys will trash them.

These guys are still very young and they are yet not match for even 1 territorial male, let alone a powerhouse duo.

Just because they clashed few times with 14 yrs old Ross males, and another, slightly older lone nomads, doesnt mean anything (most of those clashes was carried by biggest and oldest brother who is not even part of this 4).
