There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Red Road male and Nharus on a hunt, ~ two days ago. Red Road trailing behind the lionesses. Reading the description it was close to Pungwe Camp which, to my knowledge, is heart of Nharu pride territory.

Looks like he may have been welcomed back by RRM. (is meant as a joke, given RRM's penchant for such tactics), but he clearly has what appears to be a tooth hole in the top of his head and on the same side of his face.

he had that when he returned to his territory alone without a sign of Ncile....this is why so many of us fear something happened. he showed scars on his face and in his body also. most speculation seem to indicate possibly they lost the battle for the Skorrro pride to the mongawane. would be quite a shame if Ncile lost his final battle after overcoming so much Sad

Yeah, I remember that, but if these are the same wounds, then I'd surmise this video might not be so recent, as that incident happened a couple of weeks back.  Perhaps this video was taken prior to his pairing up with the young Orpen male, but around that same time. I, too, am one of those who are so very concerned for Ncile, for those exact reasons, but things are not looking good for him at the moment. Truly heartbreaking, to think of all he had overcome, to go out now.

He's breeding heavily. Ncile is a warrior, I hope he'll return if alive.
