There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Wild or captive.... some "problems" seem to be same Wink  Btw, these wild ones are quite good looking! Anyway, these videos are difficult to watch without smiling.

Scar brother... ?
How is it such like this ? After an epic fight ? After a good meal, the head plunged into a prey's entrails ? According to its fangs, it is probably not a young lion.

The frame isn't very clean. A young handicaped hyena unable to run living its last minutes.

@Shadow :

About #1220: male lions are able to be very patient. Of course when the cubs are growing, their patience level is lower. From a Dereck Joubert's movie.

A splendid male lion, apparently very quiet on the branchs of a tree... A good observation post, according to Beverly Joubert.

Not sure if anyone else noticed, Wild cubs are playing by attacking and doing mock hunts but captive cubs are curdling and hugging.

The reality of the lions' meal: confrontation and not fraternity. The ones against the others, they have to know defending their place around the prey's corpse...
