There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

A peculiar thing i have noticed asiatic lion to do from time to time... They sit in water during summer heat like you'd expect a tiger to do (not exactly like tigers, but on the water's edge).
I have never heard or seen any other lion doing something like this, ever. Has anybody else?

Water is great for keeping kills fresh on top of obviously being a very efficient "AC" for the body.
That being said, I'm sure it has to do with the presence of Crocs, Lions probably know which watering holes are safe compared to rivers that may not be.
I only saw one Croc the entire time I was in Tanzania so I'm not sure where exactly they are most common there but I'm sure certain areas are notorious for Crocs and all other creatures probably know it already.

The mother's name 'Khalilah' is Arabic indeed, but did they check the genes of the parents of the new cubs at Dvur Kralove's Safari Park in the Czech Republic, or is the name of the Barbary lion a marketing brand for them? These cubs are nevertheless cute: https://www.apnews.com/6f5660f5a939403fb5b60e77b3ff1d76https://www.reuters.com/article/us-czech...SKCN1U410Khttps://en.annahar.com/article/994684-2-...kle/450994

I just come to discover this short video on Instagram showing a male lion's strength. This male lion, according to the video was pulling an adult giraffe's corpse. It's a pity that this video is too short.
