Actually, lions are fearful of humans yet there is still a ‘look’ that a lion can hold that will remind you of their predatory superiority. "  
Frasier the Lion
This lion had an unusual story. He fathered 35 cubs in under 2 years! All at the age of about 19. He had a sort of sad story, being most likely an abused circus lion for so long, considering his poor condition. At least late in his life, his last few years, he found some small comfort with a loving family around him. " If only all could experience a game drive in the wilds of Africa. More so, following lions on a territorial patrol. With this primal and exciting experience comes the realisation that the world would not only be a grimmer place without these incredible animals, it wouldn’t be a world at all. A glimpse of a moment caught on my remotely controlled camera. The lioness who accompanied the lion then went off with the camera. It’s all about the small things and because all this happened just before 6.50 am, there was enough morning dew to give the lion’s mane a tiny rinse. We recovered the camera some time later and it was quite a thrill to see the last image the bitten camera had taken. Remotes are a low percentage play, but when they come off and the subject is looking strong, they transcend hand held work because of the proximity and the angle of view. He really did put on The Morning Show. There is no doubt that this photograph will be in much demand. I certainly want it for my wall." Superb !
In order to have a piece of a small warthog, between 3 big male lions it's quite a tussle...
I believe it happens (happened) inside the Masai Mara, perhaps too we see Scarface, the left one... In this case this photo is an old one.

The female will often mate with the other males in the coalition, the reason for this is to ensure the survival and safety of her offspring. " |
