Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. I was recently talking to a gentleman who owns http://www.blueplanetwild.com/
Go check out his ig https://www.instagram.com/BLUEPLANETWILD/ , he has great photos there, and I highly recommend his company for tours through C. India. He was very nice and quick to respond to any questions I had.
But back to the point, I of course asked him who was the largest tiger he has seen (I'm not positive of all the males he's seen) but I know for a fact he has seen Katezari.

He took this photo that was in Nat. Geo

He said with no other name mentioned....
"Jai is Huuugee"
I asked if he had been any where in N. India but he hasn't, he has also heard they are extremely large there and Kaziranga as well.

So I figured I'd devote this one to Jai...
I hope he is found soon.

Jaguar hunted in Galan, Santander in the Magdalena Medio basin of Colombia (not the Llanos eco-region) in 1955. According to the newspaper report (El Tiempo, the largest in the country), the jaguar had a weight of over 12 arrobas which translates to more than 136.07 kg, and almost three meters in total length including the tail. This was a cattle killer that reportedly killed more than 35 heads of cattle within 5 months.

The picture above shows the proportions of this specimen. The body was inflated as it was going through a state of decomposition which made it look bigger, but nonetheless, this was an exceptionally big cat. You can see the magnitude of its head by comparing it with the dog right behind it. The man at the back is an adult whereas the rest are children.

Bengals
I have seen bengals ranging from 380-470 lbs in zoos across India.IMO biggest would be 500 lbs but they are smaller compared to wild ones.

Tau is known as the largest non-obese specimen, however, we should take into account the extra weight provided by the mane. "Our analysis of mane hair strength confirmed that darker hairs are stronger, but longer hairs were generally weaker," (West, 2006, p.9). Information that leads me to assume that short dark hairs are heavier than long light ones, and as we can see, Tau´s mane is short and dark. Now, there is no evidence to prove the weight of a lion's mane, however, if we take into account that a 7-year-old Great Pyrenees lost 35 lbs in fur, we can assume that the mane of a lion would likely weigh between 5 - 20 kg, 245 - 260 kg for Tau without the mane.
Now, I believe that there are some other lions that may have been as large or perhaps larger than Tau, just like Jimbo a 230 kg specimen of Black Jaguar White Tiger Sanctuary, which is an old specimen (about 20 years old), while Tau weighed 265 at 3 - 4 years old, perhaps Jimbo was even larger than Tau during his prime age. Despite Jimbo having a belly fold, his entire body frame appears more muscular than Tau´s body frame.
There is also another big young male; Hasani a 249 kg (about 6 years old), specimen that seems very muscular and could perhaps reach Tau's weight in the future. Let us take into account that Hasani weighed 180 kg in 2017, and reached 249 kg in 2019.

Regarding the largest non-obese tiger, I shall mention Samson, a Siberian tiger that weighed 318 kg in 2018, which was estimated to have weighed as much as 340 kg without being obese.

Tau also had a brother who weighed 270 kg at the time of his death. Samson doesn't look pure amur and almost every tigers in private zoos in US are dubbed as either Amurs or Bengals unless a DNA test is done.
