You should also look into the current males in the area. Every so often they get replaced and very physically imposing individuals show up. Here's a collage of a recent sighting of Inka, he was first seen in 2019 and has remained in the area since. I think this new generation of Jofre males has better morphological fitness than previous ones. It's a shame we'll never know their exact weight.

It may not seem like it but Inka is actually very tall, he just carries so much mass around his torso which hangs low on his body giving the impression of short limbs, he must be exceptional in weight. Here he is next to Ti female from last September. Ti is the littermate of Juru, born in 2015, therefore a mature female of 8 years of age. Based on the data I've gathered she would most likely be in the 75-80+ kg weight class if we are conservative, Inka looks twice as big as her:

Alexandre from Fazenda Barranco Alto? The lineology of jaguars from that area is not as well recorded, Inka to me seems more heavy-set than Alexandre who was pretty lean. Inka showed up already a young adult in 2019 so we don't know who he sired him. The good news is that he has been getting busy mating with tons of females so his genes will continue to spread, very dominant male.

Bororo male from the late Brothers coalition is also looking impressive, he is currently in his prime. I have so many recent photos of him saved up, I can share them with you some other time. It's a shame Xando is nowhere to be found:

I'm happy that at least Bororo reached his peak!
He and his brother Xando were the males that sparked my interest in jaguars, Xando's disappearance is a real tragedy. It's been years without even a sighting.
I follow lions on wildfact and facebook and when something like this happens it can only mean two things:
it could simply be wandering around and it's unlikely he'll appear, or he's already dead...

I'm happy that at least Bororo reached his peak!

You are correct, I fear he may have been killed either by another jaguar or through poaching. We may never know.

I saw your post about Manath/Rio on Jaguarland, unfortunately, the jaguars in the photo were Ibaca female and her cub. My guess is the photographer misidentified them which happens often. Here's a recent photo of the Witoto males (Manath/Rio):

Manath is indeed much bigger than Rio, despite being younger. They are a good example of how much good genes matter in the morphological fitness of jaguars and other big cats. Manath and Rio's mothers are sisters, so both of them share the same maternal lineage, but their fathers are likely very different. We don't know exactly who is Rio's father (I've seen Medrosa mate with the Ousado, the smallest male in the area on multiple occasions), but Manath's is almost certainly Bernard. Bernard mated with Jaju (Manath's mother) in the correct timeline for him to be born, and they are practically identical:

Two young males of similar age and of closely related mothers, living in the same area and yet showing completely different sizes, all because of the genes provided by their fathers. I noticed the difference in size a long time ago and that's why i thought it could be them in the photos i posted on reddit. I apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for the correction.

Ousado weighs around 80 - 90 kg, right?

Ousado was 75 kg in 2020 as a young, emaciated male. I expect him to be above 100 kg nowadays, but he's not a big male regardless. A local guide told me this about Ousado on Jaguarland: I saw him 1 months ago at Corixo Negro even though he is the smallest one he still has an athletic body shape not as fat as Bernard but strong.

I won't make a Caiman ranking yet because we have no idea of which males are currently in the area. Not even Jafar has been seen for days now. It's such a competitive area where males come and go.
