Giant Otters Family vs Jaguar The Jaguar went to swiftly grab the dead carcass (maybe a giant otter carcass) next to the river but the giant otters family didn't allow it to by fending off the big cat.

During the flood, they live for about four months of the year on trees where they raise their young and feed, swimming from one tree to the other foraging. The Mamirauá Institute's Amazonian Feline Conservation and Ecology Research Group studies this species as well. These jaguars are from pantanal but I can only imagine how the amazonic jaguars interact with one another up trees for 4 months long without touching the ground. Houdini male he is a big male.  *This image is copyright of its original author Houdini carries this name because he was captured and then escaped the trap without leaving any trace, as the famous illusionist. I spoke with someone from Oncafari and the largest male measured was named The Joker, he was larger in all dimension than any other male captured but he woke up during capture so they couldn't get a weight on him.
I'm in the process of trying to get his dimensions disclosed and I'll update if I do. That's right Joker estimated to be 6 years old is a very robust male and according to the Onçafari team he didn't even get a colar because his neck is so thick and also he is the healthiest male jaguar ever seen by Onçafari with no wounds neither scars. During his capture procedure no ectoparasites such as ticks and fly larvae were collected, as he lacked them and he has a very healthy dentition, showing that a male can squander health and live in a territory disputed by several jaguars without getting involved in conflicts.  *This image is copyright of its original author with that info you got from onçafari that he is the largest male there in all dimensions surpassing even Sombra male and the info about his thick neck not being able to wear any colar it just makes me anxioulsly looking foward to know his measurements and weight. I really wanna know Houdini male's weight as well but he doesn't tolerate humans that much he got caught but unexpectedly escaped from the teams hands  and he is very elusive.good luck and keep us updated and most importantly lets prove the people who still doubt they aren't that big today that they actually ARE THAT BIG TODAY hehe. |
