There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Shame we didn't see face from front, but from the profile and mane look he looks similar..

And idk which other male would be that, thats definitely not S. Shishangeni /EBM and i dont think neither of Mpondos who all have much fuller manes.

@Tr1x24 This male was spotted in the Jock Safari Lodge area mating with a lioness, but this was in December last year!
Could be a new coalition?

Year ago he had 3 partners and dominated that whole area, now it looks like he is the only one left.. Lions dynamics can change pretty fast..

Talamati hasn't been seen since early January, and even then he was alone.. After that only sightings of Dreadlocks alone..

With Talamati TB/leg injury, its hard to tell if he is alive still.. But he disapeared before also, and then showed up again.

Remembering the beautiful male, “Three Tooth”
One of three Talsala/Marthly males.

More than a year has passed since his disappearance, and the hope of seeing him again is almost impossible. He went through a difficult life, beginning with the loss of his two brothers, in an electrical accident in Kruger and surviving it, and he faced the De Laporte coalition and fought with them until he was accepted as a member. It was his first hope after his lost.

It wasn't long before they were attacked by another coalition which separated them all. These actions took place during lockdown, after the partial return of life to Kruger Park, we were excited to see him, but he wasn’t anywhere to be seen. He and his other partner, known as Hilda’s Rock, have disappeared! Two members of the De Laporte coalition remained, known as Dreadlocks and Talamati! They were seen with a new pride, we hope they succeed this time!
