Seen people referring to him as the one eyed Chava male. Whether that is an official name or just what someone started calling him and others went with it is unknown to me as I just recently learned of him.
Thanks, i also Met him recently (probably the Photo in the post #11.744 was the First one i saw of him
When two different lion coalitions feed together, it can lead to intense and brutal fights. Lions are territorial and social animals, and even within coalitions, they can become highly aggressive toward one another when food resources are at stake. The fight typically erupts over a sense of dominance; larger males from a coalition may attempt to intimidate or physically overpower others. In this case on the H6, close to Satara Rest Camp in the Kruger National Park, one coalition consisting of the Nwanetsi male and a lion of an unknown origin with one blind eye and another coalition consisting of the young Nkaya Pan male and the old Ngotso male were feeding together on a zebra kill. Earlier that morning the Nwanetsi male chased the lighter coloured young Nkaya Pan male off the kill, this suggests that the Nwanetsi male sees the younger Nkaya Pan male as a rival or inferior and is establishing dominance over him. In the afternoon the Nwanetsi male and his partner with one blind eye was feeding and the old Ngotso male joined them without a problem, maybe he is not seen as a threat because of his age. The real tension surfaces when the young Nkaya Pan male tries to join again in the afternoon when he was fiercely attacked by the Nwanetsi male (from the other coalition) and chased off. The Nwanetsi male likely views the younger Nkaya Pan male as a threat to his position, either because of his potential to challenge him for dominance or because he wants to maintain control over the kill without the interference of a weaker rival.

Holy, 3rd Nkaya is impressive, but that N'wanetsi is a beast aswell, and smaller Chava actually iniciated the attack.
Who sired young N'wanetsi? Old Sweni males?
I would tought that Nkaya/Old Ngotso would be stronger than N'wanetsi/Chava, but looks like Ngotso is not that supportive, he is like: " guys pls, can we eat?"
This male that they refer to as One-eyed Chava was "lucky", until a certain time ago they were being pressured by the sweni males and this guy was found with fight marks, luckily now the sweni males decided to change their path to trichardt pride.

Sandringham Private Game Reserve Update
Definitely do read this news about Sandringham, seems like the Black Dam Pride and the Xikukutsu Males is alive and even have a white cub lion in the pride or maybe a new pride was introduced when Sandringham is still not purchased by Sabi Sabi, as Sandringham is a hunting reserve. Seems like Sabi Sabi purchased Sandringham and aiming it to turn it in regenerative tourism by 2026. Also they have removed 8 truck loads of wire within the first 6th months of purchased since 2022.

Chava The One Eyed and Nwasetsi Male were seen on a zebra kill this week
In this sighting, they ran away because Someone decided to leave the car. It was initially thought to be a hyena trying to get a piece because of Chava's alert face, as seen in the image.
Not sure if anyone else saw but 3 poachers entered the Kruger national park on the 19th and one was killed by a hippo and his body was left on the road near Pretoriuskop section of the park

Blondie Renosterkoppies/N'ws.
Since they got pushed by Biyamitis (we assume because of DMs injuries) few years back from S1 (in 2022 if i remember) looks like he and Mohawk (DM prob died due to injuries back then) moved in area between S1 and H1-1 or south of H1-1, where theres no roads:

We saw them last year near on H1-1/s65 south junction (right x on the map) and now this sighting on Shitlave Dam (left x).
If those are their sons, prob blue circle is more likely and these are offspring before they moved, as these guys dont look like 2 year olds, which would be the case if they moved in completley new area (red circle).
But who knows what is happening in Kruger with lion dynamics.
