A lion coalition of 4 males consisting of 3 Mazithi young males and 1 older male are a powerful, up and coming coalition in the Tshokwane area

Kanniedood One of the impressive Kanniedood males up in North Kruger seen recently on the S52 North of Joao. This Lion and his brother have ruled the massive Kanniedood pride for many years, they are known to operate in both Mozambique and Kruger as they are on the border of both countries. They still dominate the Kanniedood pride but this Lions brother is in poor condition. They are surrounded by many new young males, but this Kanniedood Male is still the most impressive and dominant lion in the area and he will do whatever he can to continue his reign. I presume this is one of 2 N’waswitsontso males since this was taken near Hamiltons camp

The Hamiltons Lion Pride has finally regrouped after the takeover by the two N'waswitsontso Males.
The Pride is regularly spotted with between fourteen to twenty-one individuals. Four of the females have cubs, which range in age and size from a couple of months to just under a year. The N'waswitsontso Males took over the Hamiltons pride towards the end of 2020. |
