From what I've read he and his bother ventured out of the Mjejane area of Kruger and he was attacked elsewhere in KNP. Whom the attackers were is unknown. They're back at Mjejane now and according to Kingfisher River Lodge he's on the mends. Definitely not a great time for them to start exploring other areas given the seven (7) cubs they currently have with the Mjejane lionesses.

Apparently the information in my original post is a tad bit dated, my bad. Here's a more recent clip of the darker maned Hippo Pools male in which he's healed up more.

Glad he's doing better. Is his brother ok? And i read the culprits might have been some of the young 5 Gomos?

I believe he's fine. Can't say for absolutely certainty but I think only the darker maned male was attacked.

This male on the first 2 pics is almost exactly looking like Black Rocker Olobor from the Mara! :Grin Wow, same face structure just a bit shorter and smaller mane...

Hard to tell from that distance.

Its says around Satara, but date is also not said, its posted in early 2021, but not sure if at that time there was such coalition there.

If its that date or slightly older, then maybe 3 Kumanas or 3 old Swenis, cant remember when first their members disappeared.

If video is older, maybe Nwanetsi males then.
