There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

I dont think so, nothing on them for ages, looks like they stop visit MalaMala since Kruger males left them.

Kruger males offspring in that pride should be over or close to 4 yrs old now (born thru 2019).

I remember there was couple of sub males there.

There was 1 sighting from last year in Lion Sands, where people said/speculate it was Fourways subadults, does anyone have that sighting?

Quote:Dark Mane Hippo Pools Male Injured and Limping After Fight in Kruger

The Hippo Pools coalition really has their work cut out currently as they try to protect their 7 cubs on Mjejane Game Reserve from the threat of other coalitions coming from the Kruger National Park. The darker maned and bigger of the 2 males had a fight recently in Kruger and has injuries on his lower back/spine area as well as a slight limp.

Luckily the injury doesn't look too serious, however he needs to recover fully before any further conflict with other male lions. We presume that he fought with the 4 young Gomondwane males that have been seen just across the Crocodile River on the Lukimbi concession recently.

A lot of swelling around that wound, I hope he can heal up soon.
