Been a Marwell visitor past 20+ years. Seeing your comment about the guy I checked him out on FB, seeing his pictures I can confirm he worked there although only for about a year, that's around 15 year back

Location: Oaklawn Farm Zoo, Nova Scotia Subject: Rutledge -- Rutledge was born May 28, 1991 to parents Leo and Cleo at Oaklawn Farm Zoo. Rutledge was the largest of the four kittens in his litter. At the age of 4 1/2 he was recognized by Guiness as the world's largest living lion in captivity. He weighed 366 kg (807 lbs) with a shoulder height of 42.5 " and a girth of 70". Rutledge spent his life living in the large lion compound at Oaklawn with his brothers and sisters, some older, some younger. Rultledge passed away on February 3, 2009 just a few months short of 18 years, well beyond the normal life expendency of lions. He will be missed. I

Jassass, a 250 kilogram seven-year-old male lion, and Warda, a six year old female tiger weighing 120 kilograms fight after keepers at Jordan's Zoo cohabitated them in one cage August 30, 2001. Warda turned back Jassass's overtures but the zoo keepers are hopeful that Warda will soon be seduced by Jassass in what they say is one of the few marriages between a lion and a tiger.
I can’t reply directly to Peter’s latest post in the tiger extinction thread, but I wanted to comment on this bit so I’ll do it here:

Cubanacan was actually measured but was not weighed. The figure of 363 kg is just an estimation.
