There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Quite possibly the oldest known lioness in Kruger, sister of the Matimbas:

She could beat Loonkito for the known longest living wild lion if she survives for another year, and given her current condition and the great state of the Birmingham pride, I hope she will
Another Ngala video, lions from around 3:00 onward, looks like the denning female and her previous 1:1 twins litter, the inbetween covid one, now grown up (going by what the guide said). The denning lioness is also in a part of previous EP8 on the same channel (8:00 onward):
Poor cub is already having a hard go at life. Lost an ear and half of its tail already. Pride was fighting over a giraffe carcass and I'm guessing he/she got caught in the middle of it.
The wound seems healed and it would be exceptionally brutal for the pride to inflict that amount of damage. Especially seeing this is the only cub suffering from such abuse.
I guess he got a really close call with hyenas or some other predator.
Nhenha, Red Road, Osindile/Mongawane - that's an impressive bunch of sons to have considering none of them are littermates and each made their own path.
Unfortunatley, apparently 3rd brother was not seen with them in a while.
This was rumor few months ago, then in April I posted a sighting in this thread where all 3 males where together, but now reading the comments that sighting was from January..
