For purposes of comparison, skull dimensions were considered ultimate by 15 years of age and body measurements were considered ultimate by 10 years of age.

*As I have been arguing for years. Biologists/park rangers measure and weigh grizzlies and put forth size averages which include bears as young as five years old which, though sexually mature, are sub-adult animals. That is why I view size averages given as false information. For the average-sized grizzly boar of any location, only bears 10+ years old should be included.

Explanation: Until the maturation of their reproductive capabilities, the pre-pubertal physical differences between boys and girls are the external sex organs. On average, girls begin puberty around ages 10–11 and end puberty around 15–17; boys begin around ages 11–12 and end around 16–17.
*so, should 11 year old boys be included when deciding the average size of men?

Little drawing made for comparison between grizzly and polar bear girths. Both are about 450-pounds:

Victor, a 620kg polar bear, is given an allergy test at the Yorkshire wildlife park near Doncaster after he and a smaller bear, Nobby, began suffering from abscesses on their feet.Three vets, a nurse, three dermatologists and five park staff were on hand to carry out tests while the bear was under sedation. Experts suspected it was caused by an allergic reaction to pollen after it moved from concrete bear pit enclosures to a more natural setting.#polarbear #nature @guardian

FWP tranquilizes 900-pound grizzly in garage on Rocky Mountain Front
TOM KUGLIN [email protected] Oct 18, 2018 Updated Oct 24, 2018

Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks tranquilized and removed a 900-pound grizzly bear from a garage near Valier on the Rocky Mountain Front.

The big bruin was observed near the Birch Creek Colony and members attempted to deter the bear from residential areas. The bear instead ran into and would not leave a garage despite efforts to haze it, according to FWP.

“The cornered bear would not leave the garage despite efforts to haze it out. We quickly responded and tranquilized this male bear, which weighed over 900 pounds. Members of the colony said the bear wasn't causing any problems -- that it just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time,” said Wesley Sarmento, FWP bear management specialist.

Sarmento said it took six people with a tarp to move the bear, which is large even by Montana standards. It was relocated to Pike Creek west of East Glacier.

“We applaud the colony for calling to receive FWP assistance, which kept people safe and the bear uninjured,” FWP said.

FWP encourages hunters and other outdoor recreationists to carry bear spray in case of encounters with bears or mountain lions.

Since it is very rare for a hunter to weigh anything so big as a Kodiak bear, we will never know how many might have surpassed this record weight of 1,656 pounds ( 751 kg ).

This my friends, is an every-man for himself type of animal.

Kodiak bears can reach up to 1400lbs and 11 ft with dark soulless eyes similar to sharks.
