Wow...if only they were still 4-5 strong till now.

It is so weird how their fathers fell after giving dreadlocks and the nkhulus a beating. If their fathers did not "fall off" then; these boys would still be 4-5 strong today.

At least the s.avocas have three current male descendants.

But hold a minute. If the s.avocas established their prides and territories before their northern brothers, how the heck are the n.avocas sons older? Tally boys and nkhuhuma boys

S.Avocas first main pride was Sparta Pride which obviously ended up becoming extinct, I think they only fully claimed SRP in 2019. Ofcourse they would’ve mated with any available females before this, like Kambulas, but atleast in that pride none of them would’ve survived.

Hope they still alive, we haven’t had any newer updates on the cubs since that initial week. They should be expecting more soon, with possibly 2 other females either pregnant or possibly conceiving very soon. Not taking into account if they were really with Fourways Pride aswell.

Do we have reports of fourways pride? For me, it's like a ghost pride.

Beautiful video of Nkuhuma males, the best footage of them that I've watched:

Not really sure what happened first, is it the post above or below as the post below he already have that injury on his right eye. The post below is from February 4, 2025, seems like he was caught by 2 or more males.
Any idea who might have done this to him? Male lions at that time in the South are the Gijimas, Kambulas, and Nkuhlus, both Gijimas and Nkuhlus have no visible injuries at that time if I remember correctly and only Kambulas specially K4 have sported new injuries at that time.

With both incidents happening so close in time to one another, this is very reminiscent of Mandevu. The wounds on the right side of his face appear newer than those on the left side, perhaps caught a second time? I truly hate seeing this has happened to him, few have had a more difficult journey over the last 1.5 years.

It is difficult to tell, for sure, but in these images it seems he may have also lost his left eye. Whoever he scrapped with, they did a number to his head.

I am going to guess the post above is later as in that one both eyes are wounded.

The eyeball is still there, but it seems to be getting burried and pressed inward.
I dont think its much use right now even if healthy. It might even be better if it was blind so he doesnt see double.

To me, it looks like the photos @Ngonya posted earlier today were actually taken first. In the pictures of him with the KM, you can see he has that big wound underneath his right eye, and that it's healed a bit, or is certainly not as raw-looking as it is in the photos of him by himself. It looks like he was in a proper fight, as in he was lucky to escape with his life. Or maybe he didn't in the end.

Weird though that he would go all the way down to Kirkman's Camp by himself, then back up north to then meet up with the KM.

He would not really gone back in North at that time as PCM chased him in the West on January 15 and then his next sighting is with the Kruger Male in the South already having the injuries on February 4, most likely both have gone down the same time or 1 is early than the other and then Kruger Male was sighted alone in North on February 21 per reports of the Elephant Plains.

Maybe Kruger Male and Southern Avoca have been separated February 4 onwards and that is why Kruger Male was alone at North at February 21

So the mystery dates would be January 15-February 4 & February 4-February 21.

Jan 15 - Southern Avoca chased by PCM at West
Feb 4 - sighted having injuries at South (Umkumbe) with Kruger Male
Feb 21 - Kruger Male reported to be back in North alone with no mention of the Southern Avoca

Very helpful outlining of the timeline of events. Thank you, for sharing this, my friend. I was originally of the belief that his injuries were caused by the PCMs, following the chasing incident. But, given how fresh the injuries appear, and the length of time between when that chase happened, and his being seen with those injuries, it is hard to believe the injuries were sustained at the time of the chase.

That is not to say that the injuries were not caused by the PCMs either, as we really don't know who inflicted them upon him, but I do not believe they happened when the chase happened.
