This photo was the start of the sighting from my previous post. The pack were just starting to get active towards evening and a hyena had already come sniffing around to see what was what. These two had seen it and the one closest to camera rushed at it to chase it away shortly after this shot was taken. "

This reminds me old and epic accounts - dated from the first half of the XXth century - of very large pride of African wild dogs hunting in savannah and described as being been the real herbivores' scourge.
