"When this blue-eyed boy crosses your path, you hold your breath and stare in wonder. Chavaluthu, our resident male leopard strolled right in front of our vehicle. He was on a mission and scent marking his turf aggressively. With the recent gentle rains to hit the Balule, we speculate his scent marks were washed away with the weather. This Tom had to ensure his turf was well-marked to prevent intruders from taking his land!" "Toms have wide territories that overlap with many females. They're drawn to areas because of concentrations of female leopards and availability of food.
