There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

From Pondoro Game Lodge, WEEK IN PICTURES 19-23 JUNE ’17:
"Chavaluthu was found on top of a termite mount that is now occupied by a family of warthogs, patiently waiting for them to come out of their burrows. He eventually got tired of waiting and made his way to a herd of impala, that was close by, and we lost sight of him as he moved into the thickets."

Place: H14 - Ngobeni short loop
Time: 9am (All day)
Date: 5/09/2017

What a day!!! We headed into the park at around 8. At 9 we picked up this beautiful guy crossing right in front of us. Half an hour later we watched him stalk and kill an impala. He decided to feed on the ground, but a herd of buffalo soon chased him off his kill and into the tree. The buffalo kept going and smelling the dead impala. He made a few attempts to get to his kill throughout the day, but they kept chasing him up the tree. Finally at around 4:45pm this afternoon the buffalo moved off and he was able to get down to his kill and eat in peace. We left him at 5:15pm this evening...it was an entertaining 7 hours we spent with him.
