Leopard with kill. Is it a Waterbuck?

Anyways, this is in Garamba National Park, Democratic Republic of Congo

@Luipaard You might want to check this place out. It seems to be considered a forest-savanna mosaic ecosystem with a blend of forest dwellers and plains animals.

After having killing its prey, the leopard tries to spot a tree upto which it will hoist the corpse in order to not suffer any disturbance from other predators.

Patience pays off... This leopard waited for about two hours on a termite mound for the warthogs to emerge from their burrow. He was quick to catch one as it sprinted out, however a pack of wild dogs sleeping close by chased the leopard off almost immediately, allowing the warthog to escape. We found the dogs about 200 metres away eating the same warthog shortly after. Later we learnt that the leopard, fortunately for it, successfully stole some remains back again!

@Spalea Nice feats you've shown there, same for @Styx38

Here's another amazing feat of a female. It's not only the male making spectacular kills  Wink

From Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve:

"This young female leopard made an impressive kill yesterday; a fully-grown male bushbuck. Too heavy to hoist, she rested in the riverbed until eventually a hyena came and stole her hard-earned meal."

Two Onagers or Asiatic Wild Asses that were killed by a Leopard.

One is an adult female, and the other might be a subadult, although it is mistranslated on google as "Zebra Butter"

"Leopard hunts a female zebra and a zebra butter in Turan National Park;

Iran Environmental and Wildlife Watch News Agency (iew): A few days ago, environmentalists from Turan National Park patrol discovered a carcass of a female zebra near a watercourse.

The following day, bananas were again found around the same site with a carcass of a zebra butter, possibly the same butter as the matter that had been hunted the day before, Turan's biosphere reserve chief said.

Ahmad Radman said:The effects of leopard teeth on the neck, the type of carcasses, footprints and other evidence indicated that both animals were hunted by the leopard.

The following night, the bananas observed the leopard on the zebra carcass and feeding while patrolling in the same area.

but were unable to photograph because of the darkness of the night.

The leopard ate more than the zebra butter and ate a small amount of zebra carcass ."
