I had a feeling this time was coming, I had made a post about their vulnerability(before they even deteriorated) recently and it's almost like I had a gut feeling it was gonna happen. I just didn't expect it to be so soon and go so fast.
I am upset about this, they're one of the most legendary coalitions in recorded history and I truly hope the last remaining majingilane males survive this and keep on pushing through. If their disappearance is the end of this it will be poetic as they came from nowhere and eventually vanished into nowhere.
The weird in that situation is all three majingilanes getting old and poor condition at the same time. I would expectate this happen in different time. Just like was to hip scar. As no one coalition chased them away. This mean something went wrong over west sabi sand sector to all 3 males get weak at the same time. Something about the food resources that make all mhangenis leave and majingis get starving and leave the area too.
I was thinking about the way, for example, some of the Mapogos went out, as in getting killed fighting. It must be frightening and yet numbing from all the adrenaline to go out in such a way. Yet to die of old age, I think is also as virtuous, for they know that death is coming and they understant it better. It is really hard to hear them going out, the Majingilane are one of the reasons I fell in love with wildlife and learned to respect it. May their final hours come with ease. Farewell great kings.
My heart aches with the developments. I was in denial that their demise will come this soon. I was very optimistic to see them this coming june. I guess its not meant to be. I was hoping they will die fighting defending their pride and territory. I was hoping they could hold on a bit for the mangheni lads to reach independence. I guess its up to the manghenis to survive on their own. I guess its not bad too to die without your testicles getting chewed by other rivals. Majingilanes 8 year dominance in SS will be hard to top. 7 years the coalition never lose a member thru conflicts that is impressive. Forever Kings of SS
Since the western is fenced on 3 sides, there is lack of lion traffic in there. The birminghams are in prime and their presence on the only un-fenced side has deterred any young coalition from entering majingalane territory. The three avocas world be perfect candidates to replace the three majingalanes but they will never risk traversing birmingham territory to actually get to the western block. If history is an indicator, the birminghams will be the coalition that will eventually control that territory, given that the birminghams still have unfinished business in the north-east and have shown little interest in the western block territory, the majingalnes have been left to their own devices and left to die of old age. I give it atleast a year before the birminghams seriously start eyeing the western block as a future territory, any coalition that succeeds in occupying it in the mean time will suffer the same fate as the selaties.

Although they are pretty damn strong ... that is a lot of area for 4 BBoys to protect. I would suspect that they would eventually get separated by distance ((for example that one BB like to stay with that one pride in the south)) resulting in one or two of them getting beat up pretty bad or dying. There will be turmoil in the coming months for sure.

Mfumo has been in MalaMala for a while but the birmingham coalition as a whole have also moved in that general direction. Just yesterday I think all 4 birminghams were together in that general area. Birminghams used to be separated a lot more where you would generally see nsuku and nhena in the north and mfumo and tinyo in the south. They are acting more like a unit now than ever before so getting separated now is very unlikely. For example, three of them made a show of force on djuma after hearing the three avocas vocalizing, then went right back to MalaMala.
I think the Majingilanes should join up with the Ottawa’s or just leave their territory for a bit and look for some food, because they are in bad shape right now.

That might be the case right now but if they essentially double their reigning territory then that would put a lot of pressure on the BB coalition to protect it all. Habits are hard to break and I would think that since they have separated in the past that they would also separate in the future ... if 3 are up in the Othawa area and 1 (Mfumo) is down in MalaMala then the Avocas could be a thorn in his side. So I have to respectfully disagree and say that I dont see them protecting all of that area ... essentially Im betting on these smart Lions knowing how much land is too much. See how it all goes but its going to be fun to get updates.
It is truly heartbreaking to read the latest developments about this magnificent and legendary coalition. Despite not being my favorites they won my total respect and admiration over time.
I feel like many here, I did not expect the end to come this way but inevitably the time has come.

Me siento igual que muchos por acá, no esperaba que el final llegara de esta manera pero inevitablemente ha llegado el momento.
Very heartbreaking to see age taking over such beautiful lions who have ruled for 8 years. Hate to see such beautiful animals suffer starvation. But it is natures way and a better way than becoming a trophy.
