There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

How many members do they still have? It was 7, if I am not mistaken, in the beginning, but they lost their oldest member pretty quick, he was really sick from the start.

Supposedly 5 but I’ve only seen them in groups of 3 recently. I can’t ID these boys to know if there’s a certain one missing in most sightings.
Nvm in the first video there’s atleast 4, the two together, one to the right of them but only his paws are on camera, and then one behind. Hadn’t heard about them losing a member anyways, just figured they mighta been split up.

5, but Ilanga is not in greatest condition, so he doesnt hang with them often, in fact even before when he was healthy he was always doing his own things.

2 Monwana young males at Kruger Orpen gate before rejoining their brothers and going to Timbavati back in February 2025 "What a beautiful sighting to see two male lions soaking up the early morning sun."

It is so weird and fascinating at the same time that when male lions are by themselves there is so much love, bonding and affection for eachother. But when there's food and especially sex pheromones in the air, all hell breaks lose among themselves.
