Not sure how they deal with prides there, but theres basically 1 male lineage there for a while.

3 (now 2) Hoedsprut males inherit their father, famous One Eyed Kapama male, around 2018.

But 2 Hoespruits are getting old, so idk what will happen next.

Maybe someone has better info how that reserve works, lions wise.

Thanks!

MONWANA Pride: It was nice to see N. Black Dam #4 bonding well with the Monwana Pride. But also surprisingly the 6th Monwana YM, who is still sneaking around with the girls!

I think this young male is lucky that the more aggressive 3 N. Black Dams go far south to be with the Avocas frequently. With a few females ready to give birth I’m sure the clock is ticking for this fellow- hope he can find his brothers.

Happy to see the 4th with Monwanas too, I was worrying a lil he would only stay with Guernsey Pride, and therefore limit his amount of offspring, atleast in this point of his life.

Also it seems clear that this Monwana male is really young so he must be of march 2022 litter which would confirm all Manwanas that went to Sabi Sands are of March 2021 litters.

Correct, this boy is younger:

He is on the left, on the right is separated male who was recently following Nkuhumas.

But that also means that there was 5 2021 males, 4 who went in Sabi Sands + oldest biggest male, idk where he is now.

Then there was this boy from early 2022, and another who was killed by BDMs not long ago.

Left 2022 sub killed by BDMs, 2021 male in front is one who is following NKs, 2022 sub on the right is this who is still with the pride.

Then we have 3 another 2021 who went to Sabi Sands (1 is behind on this picture) + 1 oldest male.

Speaking of Monwana, no signs of the Makkepies pride and male in a long time I think.

And before they vanished, one of the 4 cubs were missing.

Well if you mean they have gone North to  Timbavati it is correct just confused if you mean North as Northern Sabi Sands.
Seems to be more like they are back in Timbavati as the author of the post is based in Timbavati, also seems that 1 Monwana Boy that trailed the Nkuhuma Pride is still at Sabi Sands.
Monwana Boy that is trailing the Nkuhuma Pride.

The 3 Monwana males are back in Timbavati and they have rejoined their other 2 brothers.

I was advised by a close follower of the regions that this in fact is the "Timbavati Pride" I also was thinking it was Jacaranda but was corrected on facebook.

The 5 Monwana males at Timbavati Ngala

"Four of the Young Monwana males this afternoon on drive."

Timbavati - Shindzela, by Johan Adolf Smalman

5 Monwana young males at Ngala afterwards
Lots of confusion due to the dark night during the video as they say four then five but in the end it is concluded that 5 males

The bigger of them chased the Birmingham/Nephew ( I forgot his new name ) many months before, so he will have a hard time defending his Birmingham Breakaway cubs if he's unlucky to bump on all these 5 guys in Shindzela.

Bigger male also supposedly might have chased Shaka Mbiri before, and now 5 are in Ngala. I wonder if the sixth brother will find them or at least the 5 of them will stick together.

3 of them temporarily chased the old territorial Ross back in the day ( dunno if with the bigger/older brother as he seems to be a loner most of the time with the pride or at least in his natal territory ), but they are way more chill now, probably due to bad encounters with the Skybed son, Red Road and the Nharus, as well as PCM. They didn't even react to Nzuri's roar recently so for now chances are they won't cause any trouble.

Still, not trying to hype them up as I've no interest in "new Mapogos" nor do I wish to see anything similar to that, but if these guys stick around, they'll be a massive force in the future since some of them have shown impressive strength at early age and in nomadic life.
