I'm sharing a slightly improved version Tsalala-Mangheni-Kambula family tree, adding the contributions that I received. Info from recet sightings was considered.
Note that it is impossible to include all lions that have been born, so you can see:
- Adults with offspring or regular member of a pride.
- Emblematic individuals
- Current subadults (>2 years old)
- Current cubs (<2 years of age)

I recommend you to download the image to read more crearly. Hope you like it.

@BA0701

Looking at this family tree a little closer, I have a question. Considering the Mhangheni #4 lioness had 4 offspring that survived to adulthood, which isn't much more than the other original lionesses: Mhangheni #1 (3 adult offspring), Mhangheni #2 (3 adult offspring), and Mhangheni #3 (2 adult offspring), does anyone know why she was called 'Super Mom'?

Also I think there's a Kambula sub missing from the tree. There should be nine, but I only count 8, including the 2 listed as cubs (K9's).

Hello my friend.

If I remember correctly, "Super Mom" was the mother of the OM daughter that sadly passed away after many months being the only cub alive (the cub was called "Hope"). She is also the mother of Tinya, the only Mangheni offspring sired by Bboys. So I think the name was based more in her efforts to raise cubs in adversity, rather than the numbers.

I missed one subadult because it was reported to be killed by Styx male, but then recovered well. I'm going to attach an updated version to this post.

Interesting video... the 3 cubs that showed up were males.

This is FANTASTIC.....Herculian effort in documenting one of the more beloved lineages in the Sabi Sand!!

Most likely just a opportunistic kill or find while moving the cubs.
She will likely leave with the cubs at the first sign of trouble.

Interesting that the guide said the two Ndzenga males are 'the exact same age', and yet they're listed with different ages in the Mala Mala monthly reports.

They are.

Speculation that Amahle was older came from early days as he was much more developed than the rest, but thats no indication that he is older whatsoever.

Photos of them as cubs/subs prove they where all same age, maybe not littermates (although possible), but same generation of litters.

And yes, new discovery is that Amahle and OE where sired by 2 Phabeni males and not 3 Old N'ws (older Phabeni males, not the 3 recent ones who partnered with Fourways Blondie).

Hi. Interesting. It means there is four cubs from Kambula five and four cubs with Kambula 7?

A nice picture of young male kambula. I can see Birmingham relative, maybe hip scar, Kinky tail, Mufumu, tinyo? I wonder might be son of older Nzdhenga ?
