The Tumbela Coalition

@GhostCatP-22 it has nothing to do with joining a coalition, it's normal behavior for lions to not go for the kill in these situations.

That massive bump is still there.

His entire rear half, both back legs and his hips area, look very thin, but other than that he does not look terrible. He is in relatively good shape, all things considered, but he was a very lucky lion in this attack. You can see him here, circled in red.

Its kind of reminiscent of Limper. Who also was seen limping one day and climbing trees the other.

Actually this exact scenario unfolded recently with the Kumana male and the Maputo male. Kumana male was being challenged for his pride and territory but they ended up forming a coalition in the process, It was the Shishangaan pride If I remember correctly. VERY uncommon behavior but apparently It does happen.

That is very interesting, I was not aware of that situation at all. Just like with Freddie and Solo, I wonder how the pride reacted to Kumana bringing Maputo into the pride, especially if there are cubs, and Maputo's reaction to those cubs as well. Very strange indeed.

I don't think that's the case at all. Limper could barely move on some days, his injury was so much worse and he literally couldn't keep up with the pride sometimes. Skorro was barely limping a couple days ago, those kind of limps don't really hamper them much. I'm not saying he is 100% but pretty close, this attack might have made the injuries worse considering the area that was attacked but I think he's alright.

It honestly doesn’t look like they wanted to hurt him or more like didn’t wanna get hurt by him most of the time it’s bite and pull but but they bit him and let go each time it was a quick bite and not one where they’d sink their teeth into him plus they didn’t pin him down I don’t understand what they wanted to do they came in like they wanted to kill him but just a quick beating

They made some good attempts at biting into areas that lions go for with the goal of elimination. Skorro was just lucky these didnt connect. I dont think we should confuse them letting him go in the end as a sign the original idea wasnt to kill him.

As for Limper. It obviously isnt an exact match. Its just that we are having the same sort of discussions about Skorro now.

I understand nature and the life of wild lions of course. But apart from opposing all lions suffering or being poached by humans, I honestly confess that there are lions that I personally want to support and are affectionate. I have always been deeply inspired and touched by Sizanani and Skorro, and I have seen their offspring die from diseases such as black spots. What's interesting is that I've been researching local lions and ancestors for the past 15 years, and I've realized that there are many similar body types, such as Sizanani's later years and a limper. Always rooting for Skorro Junior of Tumbella, and praying every day that the Red Lord, Mandevu brothers (Tintswalo) may live a long, healthy life and prosper their offspring. I was so surprised to see a terrible imagination on Facebook today that I didn't want to see the most and came into Wildfact. It's really creepy and what I've always worried about has eventually come true. If Tumbella goes wrong...I want to leave the world of lions for a while. I know rationally that you shouldn't keep thinking deeply about your personal feelings, but your head and chest don't always match. I think my depression is going to get worse. It's such a sad, horrible scene. Tumbella tried to merge with Nkuhuma, but the reality was... Oh my God... Please I hope he's not a big injury. I don't know English, so I rely on Google Translator, so it's hard to understand the commentary even if I watch YouTube videos. Anyway, writing on a forum for the first time in a long time is such a tragedy that I feel so depressed... One day we'll all die, but I don't think this scene will be easily forgotten in my head for a while. I'm always grateful to all my friends in the forum. Please hope Skorrojunier recovers well and goes to other regions to form a coalition. I'm so sad...

Tumbela running after the fight:

As we can see, despite being a nomad and having a slight limp, his body condition is perfect, he's as healthy as a horse.

Very much appreciated, this gives us even more insight as to what took place. I still wish a video of the exact moments after the previous videos ended. I'd like to know if he simply walked away, did he run away and they didn't give chase (I don't believe he could have outrun those two boys if they went after him), clearly we can see from your video that they never left, did they simply allow him to leave unobstructed? The whole thing is just odd, however I am especially thankful that none of them seem to have been seriously injured or worse. Like yourself, Skorro Jr is one of those lions I try to keep up with as much as I'm able, I thought he was a great dominant male, the pride and especially the cubs really responded to him positively, sadly the deck was just always stacked against he and his brothers, so I continue to hope for his further success.

Said to have been taken after his encounter with the PC's. Don't know what game animal he was stalking.
