There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Yea, Gore didnt have feeding problem because of WN from what we saw, as before Gijimas attack, he was spending more time alone with Styxs and SP in the south, while other 3 further north with new aquired Kambulas.

Ndzhenga Males
  • Sadly, but not unsurprisingly, one male from this coalition passed away this month. After nursing injuries sustained in an altercation with the Gijima males in the first quarter of 2022, the male with the club foot could not fight any longer. The last time he was seen alive was on the 3rd, at the 5-Star Junction. The head ranger closed the sighting to allow the male privacy to pass away peacefully. His carcass was found on the 6th in the same place he had been left three days prior.
  • On the 17th, the smallest male roared at Hyena Waterhole while the male with the abdominal protrusion moved with seven lionesses of the Kambula pride, south of Donald’s Crossing.
  • On the 19th , one male was south of Princess Alice Pans, while another was in the Tamboti Thickets.
  • The three surviving males were north of Princess Alice Pans on the 21st, three lionesses from the Kambula pride were also in the sighting

Need a sighting of Gore... I've seen Orange Eye and Amahle a bit now to know they seem ok, but nobody has sighted Orange eye who was moving with that offshoot Kambula it seemed.  The group that seems to be having troubles on the west side of the Sand River.

Thank you.  It would be nice to get a confirmed date.  Am I correct in deciphering that the missing lions have been from the West Side of the River where he was located?  So the Northern Umkumbe area north to the southern Londolozi?

I don’t have that level of clarity to know yet.

I just saw a picture, and I posted a link to Facebook.

I don't know how to upload pictures because I can't use my smartphone.

Is this lion what I think Gore is?
The size of the stomach wound looks too small....

@veritas thanks for sharing the link. Yes, Facebook links cannot be embedded like so many other sites, so a link is indeed your best bet. I removed the second link, as it was to the same image, but it was to a private facebook group, which we do not allow, as many members are unable to access those links.
