There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

She might be coming into estrus soon, she will definitely search for mating partner later this year.

Unfortunately, I believe Nhenha is just sizing up his opponents, and what he's found is not good.  He obviously doesn't want to kill them yet, and maybe never, but he is checking to see what they've got.
I wish Scorro Jr would take his pride and move around a lot more, like Red Road does, to avoid the males.  I guess Nhenha might track them all and just follow them anyway, but it might give Scorro Jr some time to let his cubs grow bigger.
Just waiting for an attack is not going to work.  And its just a matter of time before the PC males dart in there again, and they will kill anything for sure.

Nhenha and the Nkuhuma male are inadvertently providing a buffer zone between Scorro Jr, his pride and the PC males.

Tbf, based of that report yesteday , Skorro Jr. bested Nhenha in 1vs1. Which is not a suprise, a young, prime male full of strenght vs male past his prime years (altrough still looks great).

But with Nkuhuma male with Nhenha, odds are against Skorro Jr.

No the post was written very oddly. Nhenha is said to have come out on top, giving the Tumbela Male a limp and broken canine with a torn lip in the brief altercation. Nhenha on the other hand, came off with no injuries whatsoever.

"The Birmingham male having had quite an argument with the big Tumbela is still around investigating the area along with the Nkuhuma male, despite his recent defeat."

Its quite clear what he said, that Birmingham male, had big argument with Tumbela male but is still investigating area with Nkuhuma male despite his recent defeat.

Nhenha has quite few new scars on his face, broken canine and limp doesn't mean that Skorro Jr was defeated, winners also get injured.

To be honest in that recent photo of Nhena, he didn't have any fresh injuries, and cuts don't become scars that quickly. It's possible Nhena did more damage, he is (most likely) bigger after all, but as Skorro Jr has cubs to defend, he didn't back down and Nhena, who was probably testing him more than anything, retreated.

I'm surprised no one was taking any footage if they were there when the fight took place. Skorro Jnr definitely had more injuries for sure. I suppose we wont truly know unless there's footage of the fight and can only go on videos of Skorro after it occurred and comments from those who saw it. Fortunately Nhena is still in good condtion. Many were suprised when they saw him run after the Styx male last year as well since he was 10 yo.  At lease he has no major injuries and capable of defending himself and also able to run away if he needs to unlike poor Limper.
