Tigers looking for new territory and traversing a few hundred kilometres in order to establish it’s range, is not news. But, a young male tiger from Maharashtra, C1, a resident of Tipeshwar Wildlife Sanctuary in Yavatmal has covered an astonishing 1160 kilometres(one thousand one hundred and sixty, in words because even I can’t believe it!) in search for his territory without being seen.

Compared to C1, K7 from Kagaznagar is a cub of tigress called Falguna in Telangana and his 450 kilometre journey seems amateurish, almost. For now, he has settled in Pranhita Wildlife Sanctuary in Maharashtra.

It is amazing how little we actually know about these animals. Also, if we can maintain good corridors for movement of tigers, there won’t be any need for tiger relocations in certain landscapes.

I'll be back

Chhota Munna hasn't been sighted for about 40 days now, which has left wildlife enthusiasts worried.
Knowing how tigers in general and Kanha Tigers in particularly behave, there are many possibilities, some of them shared below :

- He got into a fight and had to abandon his territory
- Is out of tourism zone exploring and expanding his territory
- He is very much in his territory, just not sighted by people
- He got killed by another tiger
- Got poached

We need not worry about the last two at the moment, hopefully, as there aren't many poaching incidents in Kanha ( not that it can't happen now) + there hasn't been any signs of poaching ( traps, snares, movement of people) and carcass of any tiger found in the area. As per my knowledge, the department has upped the task of monitoring his area to track him. Hopefully Chota Munna will be back to surprise us pleasantly! Amen

A tiger has undertaken the longest walk ever recorded in India, travelling some 1,300km (807 miles) between Tipeshwar Tiger Reserve in Maharashtra State and Telangana, in 5 months: https://wildfact.com/forum/topic-bigcats...9#pid95749

One of three Nauradehi cubs photographed for the 1st time
Dainik Bhaskar

One of the cubs born to the newly relocated tiger pair Nauradehi was captured on a camera-trap for the first time on 1 December. It being from the litter of 3 fathered by tiger Kishan to tigress Radha at Nauradehi.
DFO Naveen Garg said that the location of the cubs was not being available for 6 months. He said that the cubs were caught on camera on Sunday. It's healthy. He said that the remaining two cubs are also expected to be captured on camera soon.

The article contains this image though. Not one of the cubs, probably Kishan.

About Bammera...

I just come to discover a french documentary about tigers in India in which it is spoken about a tiger called Bamera between 11mn50 and 17mn30. Is it the famous Bamera ? I don't know. A day, this big tiger entered the main house of a small village, out of the park of course, for resting at the shadow. He has been sleeping for three hours in the house, and a big elephant was brought in order the tiger to go away...

If you want to have more precisions about what it is told in this account, let me know, no problem

Naren Malik Abhishek Jain Umarpani was sighted roaring and roaming in all over mukki for last two days. I think this was the reason, may be he was looking for choti mada

Ahh that explains a lot of things, maybe CM fought him and lost the fight. if that’s the case, CM is probably retreating and will be back again. hopefully!

T46 is huge, no doubt he can be a worthy opponent for any male that engages with him.

Ya, I can't imagine he abandons Mukki even if he lost, he's always come back.
