I'm surprised either he or his brother could run off Matkasur, neither looks to be especially large and being young you'd think they wouldn't have the confidence yet to take on a dominate male like Matkasur but apparently they did. Reply

Matkasur isn’t that big himself, it’s just the frequency of fights that he’s been involved in. he has 3 power hungry transient males on his neck trying to establish themselves. right now it’s a gamble, next few months will determine if they can take care of him for good. Navegaon buffer had a similar situation with 5 males involved just a few months back, now it seems like that area is controlled by Mowgli and Chota Matka is often seen there too. Reply

here is the father of Mowgli. “Gangaram” a living legend of Kolsa who ousted Shivaji in 2012 and ruled a massive area in Kolsa for a long time. towards the end of 2014, Kakadghat/Dewada male came and pushed him towards South ranges of Kolsa and they both had a divided kingdom and pushed every male out of kolsa under their control. they were basically two side of the coins. head and tail of Kolsa.

here is Kakadghat male, also known as Dewada male. father of Rudra and Tala.

He was the main tiger that ruled all the areas around dewada rd, piperphetti waterhole and all the northern areas within kolsa range. a very powerful male who put an end to many tigers that tried him.

now with Wagdoh’s son, Shiva in the mix. it seems like he has created a far bigger problem in the core by sending all the males out of Kolsa. there is no trace of Kakadghat, Gangaram, (Mowgli and Paras) pushed towards Navegaon buffer area. Mowgli now rules that area after ousting Kali (son of Namdev). similarly both Rudra and Tala his brother also known as shivanzari male were both pushed out by Shiva and are now in core battling Matkasur and Kankazari male towards Madnapur buffer.

If thing stays this way, there will be no core-born male ruling the core areas in the next couple years. Kolsa males are taking over. Reply

Maybe in frame size but Matka seems much more robust and to me seems larger in frame when both are with Maya.

Madhuri and Khali's sub adult male cub.

At just 24-26 months already looks like a male tiger in his prime ...
They are three brothers, 2 of them r very bold andliterally  have no fear of humans( a very bad thing Imo ) .

On two occasions they chased Bullock carts right into the village . Fortunately they haven't harmed anyone yet . Reply

Sorry would like to make a small correction to an earlier post of mine .
Matkasur had moved to kolara buffer where he made a cattle kill and has now moved to madnapur buffer.
He s recovering good but still got a minor limp. Reply
