Clash of Clans!!!!

Fights between sloth bears and tigers are part of jungle, but to witness one is rare.
Sloth bears are few of the jungle denizens who are not afraid of taking on the big cats for stealing food!!!

Well, I was really lucky to witness such a phenomenal sighting from the woods of Ranthambhore. One of the cub of T8 aka Laadli facing the sloth bear.

That bears posture screams "bring it on stripers". Great photo

Very rare and dangerous encounter for this caracal mother. She had 2 little kittens when the lion discovered one of them But, as almost any mother in the animal Kingdom, mother came to the rescue and distracted the lions attention like Cheetah, Hyena or AWD or whatever does.

She put up a hell of a fight until the lion gave up and so she saved her 2 kittens. Which is incredible with her 10-12 kg weight versus the around 200kg of this lion.

Such a beautiful picture and story from Nic Proust @nicproust

I remember this case, when I read about it some time ago :) Nice, that this photographer saw this and got some photos. Also it was good, that this lion then spotted something else more interesting, those kittens would have been only a snack after all.

Here is more about it how situation went and more photos, those are very nice photos and that lion is in some way funny to see, how it watches that caracal. It is almost like having some inner fight like "to eat or not to eat" :) And that caracal was cute, maybe it was the last thing preventing the lion Wink

Caracal distracted him.

He might have definitely killed them but feeding on it is pretty rare and depends.

Read that daily mail article, there is description from that photographer. There was also something else too which distracted the lion in the end and possibly saved little ones :)

Epic video of a big male leopard, who charges at wild dogs, becomes surrounded and eventually flees WITH their kill! The wild dogs don't even dare to press an attack, all they could do was watch. Although (male) leopards are known to steal kills from wild dogs, this is a rare video

Woah, did the leopard survived it? Doesn't look like it to be honest. Also, looks like a female leopard as an adult male would have been 2/3rd of her size.

Indeed, I just got a respond from the uploader: "He left the jaw from the tiger and fell on the tree, but was injured, but was the time for the safari, so no information was received?"

Leopards come in many sizes but even the large males I saw in Africa and India would be small compared to most of the Female Tigers and Lions I've seen. You can even see the Vin Diesal Male which is said to he a 90+kg Male looks small compared to a Lioness.

This Male Leopard is very lucky to escape but is said to be very badly injured so time will tell, hopefully he can make it. Leopards in India are much, much harder to spot so every one is important for tourism.

Is there somewhere more information about this incident? I mean one say now, that injured and one that very badly injured, there is quite big difference after all. At least it looked good in that photo, where it was on the tree. Or do we know only, that injured, but no more specific information?

If you read the thread on the photo you can see where the photographer says the leopard was badly injured.
Not sure what the difference is, I know you're looking for clarification but a Leopard was attacked by a Tiger, it's going to have some serious injuries. Unless you tranq. the leopard and give a full examination there's no way to know for sure based off an attack that surely ended with the Leopard fleeing for its life. In situations like that where the interaction happens fast, it's almost impossible to truly get intricate details, the attack happens to fast.
