That is amazing that they accepted the cubs and they probably see what an asset the Ottawa male is, so time will tell.
I m not so sure...It's possible the Matimba males are tolerating the cubs or they just waiting for the perfect moment to strike.... Remember the Majingilanes and the young Othawa male sired by Selatis....
Matimbas will think these cubs are theirs... Reasons are there were no dominant males in the when Matimbas arrived. 2nd these cubs were born 10 days after Matimbas arrival. 3rd the lioness has mated with Matimbas which will make Matimbas think these are their cubs...

The Matimba males having been spending a lot of time with the othowa pride and have been following their every movement. They have been vocalising announcing their presence daily. They seem to be going strong and doing well holding their territory. Here this male was testing to see the status of one of the othowa females. Is it true the Othawas were fathered by the Mapogos? If so, Prince Othawa has some powerful pedigree, he has also been feeding on kills with the old boys. Seems the Matimbas are too wise to do some of the normal things that characterize males in their prime, like kick out their son once he gets big, or tolerate your girlfriend having cubs from other males.
