There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

We saw the Matimba males last night with a buffalo calf kill. They are still able to hunt and pull down a young buffalo even from a large herd. It is safe to say they are going strong. Their condition isn’t great but they are powering on!

I’m glad HB is doing great and eating regularly on their own for now but I feel like once they get ahold of the Ottawa pride fully life will be easier for them in regards of food.

Is this really ginger? This lion looks incredibly old and the color of the mane is different compared to the video in the post 977.

That does look like a mange scar and I don't recall seeing Ginger with a scar like that. This second photo is a bit clearer.

Did any of the trackers mention his teeth? ... they could look at the whisker pattern also ... but it sure looks like him:
