There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Very cool the perspective and the size of the tree makes it look like the smallest leopard ever

"The famous leopard called Dunlop on H1-1. He has a habit of deflating your tires, and walks off. He is a healthy and big boy."

"This was one of the 3 amazing leopard sightings we had while at Nyika National Park in Malawi, side note, the other two where from our tents! The park is doing incredible things for the preservation of their leopard population, and their work is really starting to show with daily sightings had by the guest and staff of the once illusive leopards.
We sat with this absolute stunner of a male for almost an hour, and approached him with caution, giving him the space he needed to fell comfortable. Slowly he began to trust our big white wagon, eventually to the point that he let us watch him stalk and hunt a herd of zebra (needless to say he soon found out that the zebra where far too big for him to attempt).
This was yet another great lesson learned in the bush for me, if you show an animal the respect it deserves and give it the space it wants, it will (like humans) let you into their secret lives. Its all about trust!" From Nyika National Park, Malawi.

From N/a’an ku sê:
"One of Kanaan's resident wild leopards recently made an appearance on a camera trap. Although our research is aimed at our amazing spotted hyaenas, we take the time to admire and learn about all of our desert adapted animals and see how they all fit like puzzle pieces into this stunning ecosystem."

From Zawadi House Masai Mara:
"Et avec le mâle Golden Boy, on peut dire qu'il a vu presque toute la petite famille de léopard...Il manque juste Uzuri qui visiblement s'est installée le long de la Ntiatkitiak jusqu'à double cross mais reste très discrète depuis quelques mois. Photo JM Coulandeau."

From  I Wild Africa by Ria van Greunen:
"Finally after so many years of visiting the Kalahari searching for this magnificent cat, I spot my first leopard. First I thought it was a lion, but when it got closer I started shaking from excitement, I think they call it leopard fever. Finally I got the camera, but can’t get it to focus & just start pressing the button. I then remember it is not all about taking photos & made time to watch this beauty. As I can recall my husband’s word “HY STAP SO STADIG MAAR HY STAP SO VINNIG”. Love to share some of the pics with you. – 22 December 2017 @ 8.24 am between Kieliekrankie and Gemsbokplein. Bertie Van Greunen
I quote the Kgalagadi Leopard Project This was Ria van Greunen's first leopard sighting in the Kgalagadi and she certainly found the largest boy around in the Aoub river! Dakotah. Thank you for Id."
