Othawas (as sisters would prob not accept her at this point anyways) and Tiyelele are too far from her traverse area.

Was going to say this. Othawas are now pretty much mature (have started mating), and they have each other. The two younger Southern pride lionesses must have helped their mother kill the Styx lioness, and they were younger, so it's not impossible that the Othawas could try and kill Tsalala.

K12 would be perfect. Her union with the Styx male seems unlikely to work, there's no way he could hold a territory by himself surrounded by duos and coalitions. The Orpen male was much older and wasn't able to. It would better for both K12 and Tsalala if she left him and joined her half-sister, but of course lions can't think like this. We can only hope this is how things play out. Now she's lost her cubs it would be the perfect time to join another lioness.

Hopefully, Ottawas won't be able to catch Tsalala due to her surviving skills as solo female.

Have they started mating?  I know the PCM's were seen with one of them, but I didn't know it was a mating situation.

I might be mistaken but I swear there was a report of one of them mating with one of the PC males, after that initial sighting of the bigger PC male with them. I stand waiting to be corrected though.

I never saw that, but I can't call myself the most informed person in this regard.  I had seen where they were with the one female that seemed sort of frightened, but never saw that they had actually mated.

Either of us could be right (or wrong) on this. I'll have to go back and have a look when I have more time, as I don't want to be posting inaccurate information.

You are correct - the Singita Sabi Sands report mentioned that both PCMs were seen mating with ONE of the Othawa females. I'm not sure if the other one has either. I believe someone mentioned that it might be a false oestrus, although I think that's speculation for now.

Makhunga (the slightly bigger PC Male) was seen with both Othawa lionesses in August - he was seen defending them from a pursuing Mangheni lioness. They've been seen together on at least 3 occasions (twice by Savanna guides).

Kambula Coalition and Nkuhuma Pride

Two Kambula Males is with the Nkuhumas specifically K3 and K4, whole Nkuhuma Pride is with them and quite surprising the Nkuhuma Young Male is again being tolerated there. K3 and 6 females and 1 young male is in Chitwa while K4 and RNd is in Djuma.

Little Amber did come near to K3 to mate but K3 seems unimpressed, but he did mate with the other female. (Little Amber is on the right while K3 and the other lioness is mating.)

Kruger Male and Souther Avoca Male

According Londolozi Blog the Kruger Male and Southern Avoca Male chased chase one of the Plains Camp Males back west into Singita, seems like this happened when the Kruger and Southern Avoca Male is in West on October. They did really been roaring and scent marking in their time at West and Londolozi.

Do read the Londolozi blog about them it is quite good and has information like the birth place and birth year of the Kruger Male.

Good on the old boys, showing the youngsters how it’s done. They also mention how they’ll provide an in depth update on the Tsalala Pride altercation, which they hint may have involved these two.

They also mention how the other S.Avoca died as a result of Nkhulus, so goes to show these reserves don’t seem to have a clue, it’s just a guessing game at this point, although I tend to believe he was lost in KNP fighting for the Hamilton Pride.

The PCM that was chased was prolly Makhunga, his brother was spotted in the West consistently before Makhunga had rejoined him after a few days, heading back West from either Londolozi or Northern Sabi Sands.
