Trying to piece together a good timeline but Tendai says these were today. Meaning the group has moved very close to K4 all witching the same property on Arathusa Private.

So group is north, I guess reunion with K4 will happen soon.

I feel that another encounter with PCMs will happen quite soon when PCMs return back east again, as they are returning here more often and pushing further east.

This will be another big test for them.

If these guys want to become territorial in the north, they need to stand their ground against PCMs pushing in that area.

My curiosity is if K4 is still with a couple of the Nkhuma's, how that will play out with sister, and also how the 4 of them deal with Khanya, who K4 and Khanya have to be aware of each other.  My fear with all of these "happenings" is the young male.

It can also be not ruled out that K4 and the rest go their separate way again after a few days. Its afteral not the first time he met one of his brothers after this weird split happens.

I guess the coming days will tell us more about the dynamics in this group.

So, as this thread is new, I think it would be useful to explain recent event involving Kambulas.

SUMMARY OF RECENT MONTHS:

With the beginning of December 2023, Kambulas where seen hanging in the north around and in the territory of 2 BDMs and NK pride. Not for first time, as they where seen few months before aswell, even chasing NK's. But this time around they where even more decisive, roaring and scent marking. BDMs responded and few clashes and chases happened between the 2 parties.

Looks like Kambulas made it on top, as K4 was seen overtaking NK females in estrus from BDMs, who retreated, prob under pressure of 4 males.

With that, we tought that Kambulas will overtake that area pretty easily, but except K4, other males didnt look as much interested and they continue to hang with their sister, who was seen at one instance chasing NK female away went she come close to the males, which was a problem.

So, after K4 was done mating, he returned to the group and they moved again south (around late January i think) as if nothing happened. Which was strange, as they pretty much ousted BDMs, who showed no resistence anymore and become nomads, they even submited to Kambulas on a carcass.

Problem might occure, as 2 PCMs started to push northeast, and on 10th January they chased Kambulas further east. That might be one of the reasons, but we cant be sure, as even after that they where seen north and K4 mating.

In late February they where seen south at Umkumbe and Sabi Sabi, K5 and K4 where seen with some scars on their backs and legs, so who knows what happened.

In those next few weeks they where mostly hunting around those areas and Londolozi, seen joined on carcasses by few nomadic males, like S.Avoca, old "friend" NK male and again by BDMs.

On the night from 6th to 7th April, youngest K6 Kambula disappeared, he was missing for a week or so, found injured and stationary in Singita. That night hey had clash with Gijimas at Umkumbe, who chased them back north and catched K6. Few days after that,  in a night from 10th - 11th, remaining 4 got in a clash with PCMs at Londolozi, who catched and mauled K5, others disperse.

Fortunatley, 2 maulings where not life threatning and both boys recovered and regrouped with K3 and sister in Londolozi.

In meantime, after PCMs clash, K4 went north again, (shortly joined by injured K5, who got pushed away) and returned to NKs, again roaring, scent marking and mating.

Few days ago, that prob attracted PCMs again (with NK females in estrus), who came in with storm, killed 1 of NK females and mating with another, not sure if they had clash with K4, but both parties where close.

And here we are today, PCMs returned back west, K4 is still alone in the north, but his brothers and sister are coming, seen at Arathusa today.

Quite complicated situation, i think more clashes involving these parties are inevitable in near future, as lools like Kambulas are not going anywhere.

Interesting times ahead in Northern Sabi Sand, once again, the Northern sector is heating up hot. Hope the Kambula boys settle up there

I'm very skeptical about the PCM pressuring Kambulas in the North, I doubt it'll happen, but who knows.

With only K4 having the resolve to make a stand, there is a risk of the others running and scattering. Being picked off one by one.

This is my concern, and don't forget in all of this.  The most interesting pieces of the puzzle are in my mind:

Kambula sister and Nkhuma girls (now without Chela)
Nkhuma young male
Khanya is hanging out here
