There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

That's saddens me. The idea that he just kept on kicking despite a piece of bowels sticking out of him was rather inspiring. Even if it turned out to be just proud flesh.

The wound it left when it did fell of did seem like the type that is difficult to heal. I guess it got infected?

Sad news, but it was already fascinating that he survived so long in that condition.

Now his brothers have to hold on for at least 2,5 years for their cubs to have a decent chance and the good news is that at least the remaining 2 are healthy and in their prime. If no big coalition such as Nkhulus or even Nkuhumas down the line make a move against them they'll have a decent chance as it'll be 2v2 against BDM and Gijimas.

They should now shrink their territory by either forgetting about Londolozi or moving a bit west towards western MM and eastern Londolozi to stay away from the KNP border, and stay in a smaller core territory with Kambulas holding the ground until the cubs reach independence.

As i said, i think it was bited off and he prob bleeded out/got infected.

There is no other explanation on this suden death, he was doing fine for almost 4 years with that flesh hanging out, and now when it "falls off" , he dies in few days...

Shame this boy suffered with that injury, but despite that, he had few good years with his brothers.

Now only two left! The 2 Gijimas, 2 Black Dam Males 7 nhkulus or the 2 Males that took over the torchwood breakaway and fourways pride maybe even the plains camp males all could challenge the nwaswishaka coalition of they sense weakness I am extremely saddened by this news but hopefully everything goes well for amahle and erongji

With the Nkhulus taking out a Sand River Pride Female this is just not good.  This was my great worry with all those cubs.

Sorry.. Misspoke.

@T_Ferguson Nkhulus aren't taking over the Southern Pride, at least not now, they haven't ventured into Gijimas territory again since they were recently chased off.

Southern Pride? You mean Sand River Pride? Or did I miss something happening with the Southern Pride?

Very sad to see that another N'was male has gone, RIP Gore. Now that there are only 2 remaining, its gonna be quite hard for them to stay in power. The future of Kambulas and their dozens of new cubs is shaky

I don't think it'll be too hard for them to stay in power. SS is full of duos currently, a new bigger threat needs to come through which I don't see happening soon(except Nkhulus ofc but they might never get to MalaMala like the Mantimahles a few years ago).
