Perhaps with a good meal, he'll get on the road to recovery.
He's always amazed me how he pulled through every time. He looks to be on his last bit of body fat now.
This is not from lack of food.
He is sick, just like his brother Scar was, TB or something else, he wont recover, its only matter of time.

Ultimately, they only need to hang on till the cubs are old enough. After that their role is complete.
Yea, but he was never in this badly condition.
Because of his condition, Limper cant help Skorro Jr. already for quite a while now, he is just following them for food at this point, just like Scar did towards the end.
Nhenha and NK even spare his life, which tells a lot.
Its shame for Tumbelas, that 2 out 3 brothers where sick (prob TB), Skorro Jr. looks fantastic, now imagen Scar and Limper fully healthy with him, that coalition would have so much potential for years to come in western sector.
Now, its only matter of time when Skorro Jr. will be pushed out.

Still a very difficult task. If limper is no more, dominant tumbella needs to be the lone protector of the pride for ( atleast) 2 more yrs. And danger is all side. Nwaswitshaka will be with kambulas for atleast one more year and after that they might try for young kambulas girls or manghenis.
Very less chances from attack by N. Avocas.
PC males are still the biggest danger. Since these boys are introduced to eastern sabi sands last year, they have killed 1 or 2 nkuhuma young girls, 1 or 2 talamati young girls, tsasala lioness, othawa young girl.
Kambula males/subadult and nkuhuma subs will be another challenge.
Mapogo daughters are already 14/15 yrs old.
As of now, they r doing good.
The path seems to be very very difficult for dominant tumbella.
I agree that perhaps except for Skorro, the Tumbellas are likely not long for the world. Their survival was already a anomaly of luck as it is when they arrived. But I still have some hope that they may still hold on long enough.
Nhenha and Nym don't seem to be super aggressive. They mostly just hang around with the Ximhungwes rather than showing any interest in them. The PC males aside from some incursions also just seem to be just wandering around as opposed to planning an direct invasion. Most likely becouse they are currently being distracted by the Mhangeni pride, sort off. With some luck the two problems solve each other and the two coalitions end up focusing more on each other than the Tumbellas.
The Othawas also are great parents so, they may hang on for a few months even if the Tumbellas were to perish. Together these factors may just buy enough time for a few of the cubs to reach a age old enough to survive on their own, until they reach sexual maturity. Just like the Mhangeni are doing right now.
Offcource chances are that they are all death next year. But its not as gloomy as people make it out to be.

They've know since 1950 that high protein diets and sunshine (for the vitamin D) are very good for TB, and feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) takes advantage of a lowered immune system.
He may have both diseases.
Vitamin D is an immune system booster and is found in the fat of the prey. He needs more warthog right now.
Its around 2 to 3 years to reach sexual maturity. They are almost fully grown at two but the last year is crucial if it comes to gaining the skill to survive.

Is it so?????
I highly doubt it.
Senior members pls suggest.
Lion can survive on his own around 2.5 yrs of age, but if theres more individuals together, in theory they can survive even sooner.
But usually lions around or younger then 2 yrs of age will have tough time to survive on their own, as we saw on examples of Mhangeni 12 and recently on lone Sparta subadult.

Any example of 2-2.5 yrs old male lions survived on his own?
It seems like I don't have even elementary knowledge about it.
According to me for female lion it shud be atleast 3 yrs old to survive on her own ( independent).
For males it shud be 3-3.5 yrs old.

Any lion can hunt for himself at around 2.5 yrs of age, regardless if its male or female, some will be more successfull, some will struggle at first, depending of their experience. Those young lions usually not succed because they get killed by other lions, not because of lack of food.
Othawa subs where around 2 and Junior 2.5 yrs of age when they become indepented in late 2020, they where gruop of 4 (2 males and 1 female + 1 older male) and they didn't have any problem to hunt for themselves.
2 Plains Camp and 2 Sand River males in early 2020, when they where roaming thru southern Sabi Sands where also around 2.5 yrs of age.
Tsalala young female was 2 yrs and 8 month old when her mother was killed, and she doesnt have any problem hunting alone.
