There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

But he. He just got worse.
If it was just a case of not getting enough food. Id expect Limper to be the one getting the least and suffer. But even he is improving too.
So it must be somekind of sickness or internal wound acting up.

Though that he is out there with his brothers means he himself isn't too worried of it though.
He could just as easily have stayed with the pride to safely rest and eat while his brothers are gone.

As I said, he has TB most likely (rangers words).

He was the biggest of the 3 when they came here, now Skorro Jr is almost double his size..

Its sad to say it, but its almost certaint that he will not recover and its only matter of time when he will be too weak to follow his brothers/pride..

Shame for Tumbelas, promising coalition of 5,now down to 3, and only Skorro Jr is 100 % healthy, Limper is getting better, but he is still underdeveloped for his age, hope he continues improving..

Its hard to predict their future, but they need to hope that no coalition challenge them in near future, and that 3 male roars will be enough to "scare" other males, as with only 1 healthy male, chances to defend their territory are slim if the clash occures..

Luckily they are in a good spot right now.
The western sector is a relative calm area and the Mhangeni pride will likely distract most would be invaders for the time being.

I am worried about JRs mom though. I don't think she has been seen recently. If the boys get sicker they could use the extra claws.

Such a shame. Theirs was one of the most peaceful transitions of power you'll witness in their world, which allowed HB to ride off his own way. Really seems the deck has been stacked against these boys since the very beginning.

"The Tumbela males are the epitome of the will and strength that male lions need to possess in order to survive and overcome the challenging initial years of their lives. These 3 males have had a difficult last 18 months but are now showing the signs of changing the fortunes on their difficult past.

Their roars are heard echoing around the lodges on most nights and their confidence and condition is steadily growing with each day as they stake further claim to their valuable territory here within the Western Sabi Sand."

The dominant Tumbela Male! He is getting more confident and impressive every day, after living a very difficult life, he finds stability with his brothers and Othawa pride! @inyati_game_lodge
