Camera captures from Aurora from 2017, what weight do you guys estimate for these specimens? Tote has always been a favorite of mine but Orinoco has a large frame too:

@OncaAtrox That Mapurito one appears to be big in its range of size, I need to know their base weight before taking any guesses cause these camera traps are kinda tricky sometimes regarding jags size wise, Aurora jags are smaller than pantanal jags right, so I would like to know how they compare with Cerrado jaguars.

''This was the first time that I saw Magrão (his name means "Skinny" and his empty stomach in the photo justifies why). On that day, he was mating with Natureza. It was interesting to notice that since he appeared, he has been staying in the area and Monteiro the male that dominated this region has been registered less and less. While female jaguars are more resident and have smaller home ranges, males have more complex dynamics and greater turnover among individuals at @refugioecologicocaiman. This is important for the species as these turnovers of males promote a greater genetic diversity in the population.''

The Aurora jaguars are Llanos jaguars, but since we don't have any collected measuring data o them it's best to base ourselves on Venezuelan Llanos jaguars. I believe Tote and Mapurito are close or above 120 kg, and Mariposa for a female has a large frame so I easily put her in the 80s or 90s kg range during her prime, keeping in mind she's quite old now.

Rare maternal vocalization moment in the Wild.

'' Reposting the register here at the inn of the vocalization of the female jaguar Júlia calling her cub Neto (or Neta, without confirmation of sex) in a very rare moment to catch! We are happy with this nature that we so much preserve and share!''

Marlon du Toit : " When he wants to get closer and she says no ☠️. A female Jaguar ferociously snarls at an approaching male. The male was rather keen to mate but she would have none of it.

The interaction took place within a dark shaded woodland on the edge of the river & the dappled light makes for a fantastic image! "

Leaving aside the sad nature of this picture, this jaguar looks lion/tiger sized, just look at his size next to that man. Such a nice specimen, hopefully it managed to reproduce and spread his genes:
