Here is a meeting with a wolverine. Man who filmed this saw wolverine approaching with a cat in mouth. When wolverine noticed this man, it dropped a cat and you can see here how things develope. In the end man say in finnish: "How close you dare to come?".

Rare footage from wwf live camera in Finland from September 2018. Now camera is turned because wolverines there walk more on ice of the lake. Difficult to have luck in live cam, but of course you can check also snow situation in eastern Finland if interested Wink

Have you been to the famous place in Finland near the Russian border where you can see both wolves, bears and wolverines? I have a lot of friends who has been there they say it’s a fantastic experience as in Norway we can never see our big carnivores!

No, I live in area, where can be often seen moose, deers, foxes, hawks, eagles sometimes and many big birds like swans, cranes etc. Here are also bears, wolves and lynxes, but predators except foxes and birds of prey are quite seldom seen. Of course when walking in the woods, I have chosen to keep certain noise to avoid for instance bear contacts Wink  I don´t carry a gun with me when in the woods, so better to let animals know, that I am there, I think :)

I actually remember reading something about the wolves in a being so tough that even Chuck Norris was impressed. Not sure how true that is, but if it is, that's something cool.

One very nice article about wolverines. About wild animal behind myths and urban legends. Real wolverine is much more interesting than myth about some "superanimal" :) It is just like all other animals and very fascinating while trying to survive in harsh environment and competition.

Not only wolverine. Most people see tiger and lion too as "super-animal" and powerful than god which are also like other animals who have to face their daily challenges of survival in unforgiving wilderness.

Not the best video, but here is encounter with wolverine. Hunter have shot a beaver and carcass is about 30 meters from hunter. Wolverine has smelled it and is coming to carcass, it can be seen from about 1:26 on ice at lake. Near that tree there (birch). Then about at 2:56 this guy raises camera up and wolverine can be seen in the middle of screen between two branches. At this point hunter starts to chase that wolverine away before it steals carcass, some finnish cursing there :)

As everyone can see from this and earlier videos in this thread, wolverine is just like other wild animals, it can be easily scared to flee :) No need to use gun etc. Just common sense and knowledge about animal behavior.

This was interesting video. Also one example how mothers come to defend their calves, even though deers look like nice, damn they can kick hard :)
