A Massive Male from Kaziranga!(Male Tiger,Bagori,Kaziranga)

How it would be to find a tiger in land of unicorns where the land is mostly filled with grass of 8-10 feet tall.This huge male gave a sighting for about an hour.Taking rest for nearly 45 minutes near the lake, he got up and walked for a distance which took him about 10-15 minutes to cross the road.With the mighty look and majestic walk he came out of bushes gave a stare to his left where we , the wild life enthusiasts and photographers were standing along with other tourist to the zone in our respective vehicles.Then he took his path, went on to other side of road , marking his territory continuing his walk for about 100 mts and finally disappeared in bushes.

"After 13 game drives and more than 30 hours on safari, we finally got to lay eyes on this male tiger crossing the road. The moment lasted no more than 10 seconds and before we knew it, he had disappeared back into the forest just as quickly and quietly as he came. It was a magical and captivating experience and one I’ll never forget," says Lauren Ludi about her first sighting of the wild #tiger.

What is the average standing height at the shoulder of North Eastern Bengal tigers especially those of Kaziranga? Please give maximum shoulder height too. Reply

I strongly believe that not only northeastern india, but all-over india there are tigers with shoulder height of 105-115 cm tall. Maximum if I have to guess I won't be surprised if the tallest tigers there are around 125cm to 130cm tall. Reply

I was lucky enough to see a tiger also in Kaziranga. I was in the Agoratoli (Eastern ) Range and the sun has gone down the horizon. I just wanted to see some of the Anti Poaching Camps. The determined and committed frontline staff in these camps has fought hard with the poachers to make this a safe place for rhinoceros now. The forester driving the vehicle was narrating me many stories of ambush with the poachers. Suddenly we saw one tiger moving ahead of us on the road. The light was pretty bad and distance was much. This was the best image which I could get before the tiger suddnly disappeared in the bushes. This was clicked at 20,000 ISO and 500 mm (equivalent to 750 mm).

To my knowledge, this is the first "golden tabby" wild tiger photographed but I could be mistaken on that.

Wow, white and tabby tiger DO exist in the wild! That is perfect. I told you @Pckts  

It is incredible that with such a low tiger population there are at elast two new records of white and tabby tigers in the wild. This is amazing but at the same time is necesary to get more protection for the tigers in this areas. Reply

Haha you were right, it's a shame that neither of the two white brothers have been seen recently and the Tabby has also evaded photo capture since this shot as well. Reply
