@Pckts

regarding these two pictures posted by you in posts #399 and #403.

this is devada male that rules Shivaji and Gangaram's former territories, from piperphetti waterhole, devada road (kolsa side), kakarghat area and is the father of all of Shivanzari and Hirdi Nallah litter. Gangaram moves in with Kuhani female and another unidenfitied female in Southern Kolsa area, I think Jignesh patel had a picture of her in that Tigers of Tadoba facebook group. I'll try to dig in.

he's the rival of T55 aka Kankatya, Kankatya and Devada male are heavily involved in a conflict over turf. Kankatya just reached his prime age, he's about 5 years old and I believe this guy is a couple years older and a large male to boost. one of the finest from Kolsa for sure.

Gangaram ruled Piperphetti, Kakarghat and devada road area from August/2012 to November/2014 and was later pushed to the Southern ranges of Kolsa by the new Devada male and since the summer of 2016, a young male (T55- Kankatya) that was probably sired by Gangaram or Shivaji began challenging devada male for the throne and they have been hefty rivals since then and the rivalry is very active at this point. the stakes are high for both.

Devada male after going head to head with Kankatya, a little scratched up nose but nothing significant. I heard the fights are happening every few months span. there's definitely struggle taking place between the two. December/2016

Reports of a new male spotted on the fringes of Mukki as well, he better turn his eyes elsewhere, I don't think he wants to clash with Uma at this stage.

Shivaji in early summer 2012.

Hello Friends,

Kolsa in Tadoba is such mysterious place. I have been going there since last 7 years and after 8-10 safaris , I am still to spot  tiger there. Although seen countless pugmarks and calls. And more mysterious are Male tigers of Kolsa. 2 weeks back, I again missed tiger spotting while there. So good to know about males above. I was told that Gangaram is still around and in fact he had made a kill just outside zari safari gate 2 days back. And guides tell me he is bigger than Shivaji. I think the above kakraghat male tiger is bunty; Shivaji's son.  He is around Ramsingh amba area and that's closed for tourism

I found a recent side flank of Matkusar male and the image above of the same flank where I thought it was "pandu"

It looks like these two are the same male, so it was Matkusar not Pandu, although some call him either name.

This is the shy male Pandu,
