There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Some observations of tigers killing buffaloes in head-on attacks.

In 22 of 28 observed kills, the buffaloes were aware of the tigers presence before getting killed. Buffaloes walked towards the tiger, facing head-on and sometimes continued a head-on stance until the tiger attacked and killed it:

This refutes the false assumption made by some people, that tigers are only efficient "ambush" hunters. Tigers are willing and do kill large, dangerous prey in face-to-face confrontations and usually have no problems in killing large prey in head-on attacks.
