MALAMALA TODAY: September 26th. 4 lion sightings: Early this morning we found the lone Matshipiri male with 5 Kambula lionesses near Campbell Koppies. Then 2 Gowrie males appeared and, after a brief standoff, the Matshipiri male jogged off.

I really hope the matshpiri male takes some of the soon to be dispersed young males in sabi sands under his wings, the young males will benefit hugely with a big adult male backing them and the matshpiri male will have the young guns to guarantee a long life as a dominant male.
