Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Indeed, it's a very risky move.
I'm very surprised by their passivity in regards to fighting for their land.
I understood when the Birmingham males arrived because they were five, but this time it was only 2 Matshapiris.
It seems that either they're taking a look at what's around them and see if they can work it out like they did last year, or maybe they may go nomadic, if they don't want to fight.

I don't get why they left their territory so easily to the Matshapiri Males. Without a pride they've to hunt for themselves. The odds are not getting better for them if they move north.
Ginger Mane certainly has a very sore right paw with nail dislodged/damaged and Hairybelly looks like a soldier on his way to a prisoner of war camp. If their luck does not change quickly they are on their way becoming tramps. I hope they find fortune , but the odds are against them it seems - both have taken a beating recently. The only good thing is that they are sticking together.
It would be great if the 4 matimbas unite, not likely though. I wonder if Junior would recognize the matimbas though if they run into each other , and how would they react to each other.

Awesome creature! I have a soft spot for the Matimbas. Unfortunately they're on the downside of their reign. Is there video footage of the Matimbas in their prime - like fighting with other lions?

There's a couple, both posted here in the thread.
One is where they caught and kicked the crap out of one of the Fourways males, which later died from starvation, not being able to hunt because of the injuries, and another one from april/may 2015, where they attacked the Styx pride, and later beat up one of the Styx males. The fight in itself isn't in the video, but the interactin is cool.
